Drew Craig – Senior High School

I met Drew when he was an adorable, outgoing little 3 year old!  He adored everyone and everyone adored him!  Not much has changed since then, except he is a whole lot taller!  And people still adore him.  He is a very kind, handsome young man!  When he finishes high school he wants to go to school to be a worship pastor.  He has a passion for leading God’s people into his presence!  Thanks for spending a couple of evenings with me Drew!

Volk Family – {Billings, MT – Family Photographer}

July 28, 2010 { No Comments }

I love Facebook! I have reconnected with a lot of my friends who have moved away or just don’t get to see very often. Plus I get to stay in contact with family and I usually always have someone to talk to while I am editing! That is always nice. But because of Facebook, I have been visiting with an old high school friend Amy Volk, who also loves photography. She is amazing at landscapes! Well, she came to town to help her parents move. Her sisters and kiddos came too. So we all got together for a group family picture and smaller family pictures. It was fun. The little guys were busy bodies! So here are just a few of their pictures from that day.

Jonah & His Photographer

Oh, I remember Jonah when he was just a little duffer! Normally you don’t get your picture taken with your photographer, but Jonah is special. Thanks Jonah! Congratulations on the wedding and your job down in Texas!

The Tresch Boys

Here is a picture of a dear friend of ours who also has taught our son Wyatt at Lockwood School. He called me and asked me to take pics of him and his boys before he leaves on Sunday for his second tour in Iraq. I feel very honored that he asked me to capture this moment in time for him and his kids.

Keith, Thank you for being a wonderful teacher to my son and a wonderful coach to Logan too. We care about you and your family and will pray every day that you are safe! Thank-you so much for your sacrifice to keep our country safe. I respect you and am thankful for all you are doing for our country. Stay safe and we will keep in touch!

Day At The Zoo

July 6, 2010 { No Comments }

Last week we went to the zoo and when we got there we weren’t sure it was going to be great because it started to rain. But it didn’t take long and the rain stopped. It stayed cloudy most of the time but it was actually nice because it kept the heat down. We usually don’t see the wolverine because he is usually sleeping and usually so is the bear. Normally we get a lot of pictures of the tiger. But this day was different. The bear and the wolverine were both out and walking all about. In fact the wolverine was so hard to get a picture of because he just kept running around. So I decided to forget a close up and just got a good shot and then cropped it later. And the bear was so close he was hard to get too, but I did it. The tiger on the other hand was snoozing. So I passed him up this year.

The kids were just as fun to watch too. Ellie kept following the ducks and waddling along trying to walk like them. Wyatt is always the silly one. Kennedee adores Ellie so I always know where she is. And Hailey doesn’t like to be in the pictures.

Then we wrapped it up with a picnic over by the playground. And the sun was shining. It warmed up real quick!

Moon

July 3, 2010 { 3 Comments }

So my blog post for today is kind of boring. But I was at my friends place in Absarokee this weekend and we were taking pictures of the moon. It was absolutely beautiful! And this is what I got. The second one is kind of boring with the plain black sky, but I was surprised that I was able to capture all the details on the moon. So here is day 4!

Hailey

Ok, Here is day 3 of my blogging! Hailey is one of my favorite subjects to photograph. Yet she is the toughest critic! She almost never likes her pictures and then doesn’t want me to post them. So then we argue. Good times. I think it is just because I am her mom. Kind of reminds me of coaching her. But she is so pretty and so photogenic! And she is always willing to try something new even if it doesn’t work out. She is very artistic also, she paints beautifully! Sometime I will have to post some of her paintings! Hailey, I love you! Have a great day everyone!

So the 2nd picture is day of my blogging everyday for a month. I love taking Hailey’s pictures. We had fun but it was hot, hot, hot. I found out that I have been kind of spoiled with just shooting portraits, I can pick the best time of the day to shoot and then weddings, well they are never at the best time of day. So I took Hailey out at our friends place and decided to put her out in the wide open fields with all sun and practice. I came out with some really good shots! I love how photography is always learning and growing. Always pushing yourself to the next level!
